Anglers will embark on a 22 mile float from the headwaters of Karluk Lake spending each evening at one of the three cabins precisely located at the waters edge of the river. Day 1: Upon departing the City of Kodiak via float plane, guests will arrive at Karluk Lake. We highly encourage anglers to arrive in Kodiak early and anticipate travel delays that may affect your travel to/from Kodiak and their ultimate destination. Upon arrival to Karluk, guides will familiarize anglers with the lay of the land, first-line equipment & gear, and discuss the agenda for the days to follow. Walk wade the headwaters of Karluk River, take in your surroundings, and stay the night at the outlet cabin. The following morning, you'll embark on the first leg of the float downriver.

Day 2-6: Guests and guides will discuss locations to concentrate efforts to maximize the potential of desired species over breakfast each morning. Anglers can expect to float fish while transiting from the outlet cabin >portage cabin > lower cabin.

Day 7: On the final morning of your stay on the river, anglers will prepare gear and equipment for extraction back to the city of Kodiak via float plane. Weather dependent, anglers can expect to arrive at their departure location no later than Day 6.
